Marileidy Paulino rejects housing offered by businessman Antonio Carbone

Dominican Republic: In a statement, the gold winner in the 400-meter dash at the 2024 Olympic Games said: “Yesterday, my work team personally informed her representative that I was declining the donation in its entirety, and invited her to donate what was offered to me to any non-profit institution in our country.”

The young woman, gold (2024) and silver (2020) at the Olympics, explained that she and her team have closed the matter to focus on their next competitions.

"After this statement, my team and I have closed the matter and can focus on my next competitions. Thank you all for your understanding and support," he said.

Marileidy has received offers of gifts from different brands and companies after winning last Friday and breaking the Olympic record.

"I would like to clarify that I, Marileidy Paulino, have not accepted the house that Mr. Antonio Carbone, expressed in the media, to have given me," said Paulino.
