Donald Trump challenges Kamala Harris to debate more than once in the race for the White House

Washington.– Former US President Donald Trump stated this Tuesday that he would be willing to debate on several occasions with the presumptive Democratic Party candidate for the White House, Vice President Kamala Harris.

«In reality, he would be willing to hold more than one debate,» said the Republican candidate in a call with the media organized by the Republican National Committee.

«I think that if you are between the Democratic candidate or the Republican candidate, you really have the obligation to debate,» said the former president, who was formally nominated last week, two days after the assassination attempt he suffered at a rally in Pennsylvania.

Trump once again criticized that the second debate will be held on ABC, as he agreed with Joe Biden’s campaign months ago. The first took place on CNN on June 27 and was the trigger for Biden’s abandonment of his presidential aspiration after his disastrous performance.

The former president said he is not «enthusiastic» about having a debate hosted by ABC. In a message on Truth Social last weekend, he called for the debate to be on the conservative channel Fox News, rather than ABC.

In her first rally since Biden ended his re-election campaign on Sunday and endorsed Kamala Harris, the vice president on Tuesday evoked her past as a prosecutor to harshly attack Republican candidate Donald Trump, who was the first former president to be convicted. for a crime in the history of the country and about which the Democrat said: «I know well what their kind are like.»

Just 36 hours after officially launching her election campaign, Harris has mathematically become the Democratic nominee, although her nomination will have to be made official at the Democratic Party’s National Convention in August.
